Automated Glass Cleaving Workflow:

  1. Material Loading: The operator loads the raw material onto the designated loading rack and starts the machine program.

  2. Auto-Feeding & Alignment: Once the program starts, the loading linkage mechanism uses vacuum suction to pick up the glass. The linkage then retracts and places the glass onto the conveyor belt. A side-pusher aligns the glass flush against the reference edge. Once the sensor confirms proper alignment, the conveyor moves the glass forward.

  3. Process: The loader feeds the glass to the front of the cutting station. Upon detecting the material, the cutting station’s conveyor lifts to dock and transfer the glass to the cutting origin. Once in position, the drive mechanism lowers, and vacuum suction is activated to secure the glass. The cutting process begins. After cutting is complete, the vacuum switches to a blow-off (air cushion) mode, the drive mechanism raises, and the scored glass is transferred to the front of the breaking station.

  4. Cleaving: Upon detecting the incoming glass, the breaking station’s conveyor belt moves the product to the breaking origin. Once in position, the vacuum suction activates, and a vision camera calibrates the breaking path. The breaking equipment then cleaves the glass. After breaking, the vacuum is released, and the conveyor moves the pieces forward to the end of the line.

  5. Sorting & Scrap Removal: The gantry system detects the incoming material, and a camera identifies the exact position of the finished pieces. Vacuum cups on the gantry precisely pick up the finished products. The conveyor and gantry then move in sync: scrap glass drops into the waste bin, while the finished pieces are placed into a designated collection tray. The gantry repeats this cycle.
